ITINERARY

Day 1: ---- The Arrival to Cairo

   Your tour manager from Misrona Tours will meet and assist you at Cairo International Airport and then he will escort you to the hotel by exclusive air-conditioned deluxe vehicle. At hotel the tour manager will assist to check-in and review your holiday itinerary with you to establish and confirm pick-up times for each tour. Overnight in Cairo.

 

Day 2: ---- Giza Pyramids and Sphinx ... Train    

   After breakfast and early in the day, departure to visit the the impressive visit of the Giza enclosure and its pyramids. A journey of approximately three hours on the Giza plateau to discover the most outstanding monuments worldwide, of course the only wonder of the ancient world that exists until now; the pyramid of King Cheops. Also next to it are two more large pyramids; that of Khafre, son of Cheops and that of Menkaure, son of the last and grandson of Cheops. This is where the most famous sculpture in the world is located; the Sphinx of Giza, dating from the time of Khafre with a human head and a lion's body. Also visit its temple called Temple of the Valley. In the enclosure there are six satellite pyramids; three next to that of Cheops and three that of Menkaure which was for his wives and daughters.

Day 3 : ---- Luxor (East Bank)

Day 4: ----  Luxor (The West Bank)   

    In the early morning, enjoy a relaxed breakfast. Night at Luxor.

 

Day 5: ---- Edfu - Kom Ombo 

    After breakfast check out from Luxor hotel with luggage, you’ll move by bus to visit the Temple of Edfu. The temple dates from Ancient Egypt located on the west bank of the Nile in the city of Edfu 120 km south of Luxor. During the Greco-Roman period it was known as Apollinopolis Magna, dedicated the temple to the falcon god Horus of Edfu. It is the second largest temple in Egypt after Karnak and one of the best preserved. The temple's pylon is the second tallest at 36 meters high and 79 meters wide. It was built for 180 years between 237 and 57 BC. The inscriptions on its walls provide important information about the language, mythology and religion during the Greco-Roman world in Ancient Egypt. The triad of the temple has more Hathor the wife and Ihy her son and god of music. The site still has ruins of the old city and the houses of the priests, and restoration and excavation works are underway.

   After your visit we will continue sailing towards the temple of Kom Ombo. Once here walking towards the temple of Kom Ombo; this temple with its special design of the division between two triads of six divinities: Sobek, in the form of a crocodile and Haroeris, with the head of a falcon. The temple has the shape of an acropolis with a level higher than the water level of the Nile River. On the walls you can still notice the polychromy of the scenes, especially the columns in the courtyard. After visiting the temple, we can enter the museum of crocodile mummies that were found in a cemetery on the western bank of the Nile... At the end we will continue the way to Aswan city and the hotel of Aswan.

 

Day 6: ---- Aswan visits

    After breakfast, you will be transferred to visit the majestic Philae temple of devotion to the two goddesses Isis and Hathor. the Temple of Philae, dedicated to the goddess Isis; the one rich in love and magic. One of the well preserved Greco-Roman temples that were saved from the original island called Philae to its new island Agelkia not so far about 500 meters to avoid the annual flooding of the temple by the Nile... Then, back to the hotel. Afternoon felucca trip over Nile River....  Overnight in Aswan.

 

Day 7: ---- Aswan- Abu Simbel (Optional Visit)

    After breakfast free day to optional tour to Abu Simbel temples. The two Temples of Abu Simbel. Abu Simbel is a site of archaeological interest that is made up of Egyptian temples located in Nubia, in southern Egypt. It is located on the western bank of Lake Nasser, about 280 km southwest of Aswan, close to its original location. The temples are part of the Open Air Museum of Nubia and Aswan, a complex that was declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1979 under the name of "Nubian Monuments". The temples were carved out of the rock during the reign of Pharaoh Ramses II in the 13th century BC. C., as a monument dedicated to said pharaoh and his wife Nefertari, to commemorate their supposed victory in the battle of Kadesh and show their power to their Nubian neighbors. In 1968, the complex was relocated on an artificial hill, built on nearby land above the level of the future Lake Nasser. The removal of the temples was necessary to prevent them from being submerged, after the construction of the Aswan High Dam, by the reservoir formed by the waters of the Nile River. Abu Simbel remains one of the most important tourist attractions in Egypt.

Day 8: ---- Cairo to the International Airport
