GRAND SOUTH CIRCUIT
8 days / 7 nights

   Come explore southern Morocco! From the Atlantic side to the Sahara desert on the borders of Mauritania, discover a preserved and enchanting region. South of the Atlas Mountains, you will discover all the landscapes of the Great South of Morocco: oases, palm groves, desert landscapes and coasts of the Atlantic Ocean, the south of Morocco is a region full of contrasts.

ITINERARY

Day 1: Tangier / Rabat / Casablanca
   Arrival in Tangier, introduction by our guide and we continue to Larache, where we will have lunch (optional). Resumption towards Rabat, capital of the Kingdom and residence of King Mohamed VI. Visit the exterior of the Royal Palace, the mausoleum of Mohammed V and the tower of Hassan II, the minaret and the symbol of the city after being damaged during the Lisbon earthquake in 1755. Arrival in Casablanca, distribution of rooms, dinner and accommodation.

 

Day 2: Casablanca / Marrakech
Breakfast at the hotel and visit of Casablanca, the economic capital of the Kingdom. We will take a panoramic tour of the city where we will discover the Boulevard d'Anfa, the Plaza de las Naciones and the residential areas, as well as the great Hassan II mosque (optional interior visit). Stop for lunch (optional). After lunch we will continue to Marrakech. Arrival at the hotel, distribution of rooms, dinner and accommodation.

 

Day 3: Marrakech
After breakfast we will visit the Koutoubia, the twin sister of the Giralda in Seville. Next, we will visit the Saadian tombs and the Bahia Palace. In addition to a walk through the medina and the souks, we will visit the magical place of Jemaa el-Fna, where you can enjoy shows and live music. Return to the hotel for lunch (possibility of dinner show). Accommodation.

 

Day 4: Marrakech / Ait BenHaddou / Ouarzazate
After breakfast we will cross the High Atlas mountains where we will enjoy the magnificent views. On our way we will visit the Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou, a World Heritage site, which has been the setting for the filming of many famous movie scenes. Optional lunch on the way. We continue towards Ouarzazate. Free time, dinner and accommodation.

 

Day 5: Ouarzazate / Tinergerhir (Todra) / Arfoud
Breakfast and visit of the city where we will visit the Kasbah of Taourirt, residence of the ancient Pasha. We will continue towards the impressive Todra Gorges with its 300 meter high cliffs. We will stop for lunch (optional) and continue to Arfoud. Arrival, room distribution, dinner and accommodation.

 

Day 6: Arfoud / Fez
This day is one of the key days of the circuit. We will get up very early to see the magical moment of sunrise among the desert dunes. We will have the opportunity to visit the dunes of Merzouga and return to the hotel for breakfast. Next, we will leave for Fez. Upon arrival distribution of rooms, dinner and accommodation.

 

Day 7: Fez
Breakfast at the hotel and city tour. We will visit the 7 gates of the Royal Palace, the Jewish quarter or Mellah, the Bab Bou Jeloud gate, which gives access to the largest medina in Morocco. Then we will discover Karaouine, the oldest university in the world, and the neighborhood of the tanners. Optional lunch in the medina, dinner and accommodation at the hotel.

 

Day 8: Fez / Tangier
Breakfast at the hotel and departure to Tangier. Free time and transfer for your return.

Documentation to visit Morocco
