Full-day to Faiyum and Meidum

   Faiyum (El Fayyum) is a vast oasis in the Egyptian desert, situated below sea level within a large depression of the Libyan desert and forming an almost circular oasis. It is located about thirty kilometers west of the Nile. During this excursion, we will explore fascinating sites in the oasis and visit the Meidum enclosure, famous for the pyramid of Honi, Senefru's father, with lunch included.

ITINERARY

Early in the morning, our guide will pick you up at your hotel to start the journey to Faiyum, located 110 km south of Cairo, where you will see the impressive and fertile landscapes of the oasis.

Meidum: Our first stop will be the archaeological zone of Meidum, home to the pyramid of Pharaoh Honi from the Third Dynasty, which you can visit from the inside.

Pyramid of Hawara: Next, we will proceed to the Pyramid of Hawara, constructed from mud bricks and dating back to the Middle Kingdom.

Qasr Qaroun: We will then continue to Qasr Qaroun, a Roman-era temple near Lake Qarun, one of the most important areas of the oasis, known for its saline waters that lie below sea level.

Lunch: On our way back, we will enjoy lunch on the shores of Lake Qarun, where you can appreciate the rich local fauna, particularly the diverse birdlife.

In the afternoon, we will return to your hotels in Cairo.

• Once your reservation is confirmed, you will receive an email with your booking voucher. Please print it or download it to your mobile phone or tablet to show to the Misrona Tours representative on the day of the activity.
• The details will include tour operator contact numbers, traveler service and travel information.  

• Prices are per person in US dollars depending on the number of people.
• A deposit of 50 % of the total price is required to complete reservations.
• The remaining amount is payable in cash before the tour begins.
