Basic Cairo and Cruise

To truly experience Egypt and enjoy its famous circuit along the Nile, the minimum recommended itinerary is a 6-night tour (THE BASIC), especially considering limited time for visits in Cairo.

Accommodation:

• 1 night in a hotel in Cairo (with breakfast)
• 2 nights in a roundtrip sleeper train (with breakfast and dinner)
• 3 nights on a luxury Nile cruise (with full board)

ITINERARY

Day 1: Arrival in Cairo

Arrival at Cairo airport, where a Misrona Tours representative will assist you and transfer you to your hotel.

Day 2: Half-Day Tour to the Pyramids of Giza

 Enjoy breakfast at your hotel, then meet your guide for a three-hour exploration of the Giza plateau, including the Great Pyramid of King Cheops, the Sphinx, and the Temple of the Valley. Optional visits to the interior of a pyramid are available. In the afternoon, there’s an optional excursion to Memphis and Sakkara, where you can see the stepped pyramid of Pharaoh Djoser.

Later, transfer to Giza train station to board an overnight sleeper train to Aswan, with dinner on board.

Day 3: Cairo - Aswan

After breakfast on the train, arrive in Aswan and meet your guide. An optional visit to Philae Temple is available. Board the cruise ship for lunch, followed by a felucca ride on the Nile. Overnight in Aswan.

Day 4: Abu Simbel (Optional) and Kom Ombo

 Early transfer to Abu Simbel to see the temples built by Ramses II. Afterward, sail to Kom Ombo to visit its unique temple, followed by dinner on board and overnight in Edfu.

Day 5: Edfu - Luxor

Breakfast on board, followed by an optional visit to the Temple of Edfu. After lunch, cross the lock of Esna and arrive in Luxor to visit the Luxor Temple and Karnak Temple, with dinner and overnight on the cruise.

Day 6: Disembarkation from the Cruise Ship

After breakfast, check out and optionally visit the Valley of the Kings and the Temple of Hatshepsut, concluding with a stop at the Colossi of Memnon. Transfer to Luxor train station for an overnight train back to Cairo.

Day 7: Cairo Airport

Enjoy breakfast on the train before transferring to Cairo Airport for your onward flight.

IMPORTANT NOTES: -

• The Nile cruise assignment will be made one week before the date of our services.
• It is important to indicate what kind of food you would like to eat for dinner on the train.
• The order of activities may vary depending on the cruise, but the visits included in the itinerary will still be carried out.
• Book as soon as possible to ensure availability, especially on holidays and celebrations such as Christmas, New Year and Easter.
• In order to contact you, we need your mobile number, email and fill out the form on the current page, indicating the start date of the trip and the end date of the trip. Please determine the number of adults and children.
• You can book 2 weeks in advance if there are still places available.
• Once your reservation is confirmed, you will receive an email with your booking voucher. Please print it or download it to your mobile phone or tablet to show to the Misrona Tours representative on the day of the activity.
• The details will include tour operator contact numbers, traveler service and travel information.

• The package price is set in US dollars, but you can pay in Euros, Egyptian Pounds or British Pounds. You can also pay with different credit cards: Visa, MasterCard...etc.
• Payment of 35% of the total amount is required to secure your seats on the tour, including hotel room, cruise cabin, local plane or train tickets and other travel-related services.
• The remaining balance can be paid up to one week before the arrival date or in cash upon arrival at the destination to the Misrona Tours representative.
• Once the tour is confirmed, we guarantee that the price will not change.
• The price is for 4 travelers or more.
• Children under 2 years old Free.

In case of cancellation of your trip after making some/all reservations, the following table of charges will apply: -

• 30 days before the arrival date, 10% of the total price of the tour will be charged.
• Up to 15 days before the arrival date; 20% of the total price of the tour will be charged.
• Up to 7 days before the arrival date, 35% of the total price of the tour will be charged.
• Less than a week before the arrival date, 90% of the total value of the tour will be charged.
