Safari for the Bahariya Oasis and the White and Black Desert

The oases of Egypt are rich in customs and traditions. Despite modernization, the Bedouins in these oases continue to follow their traditional ways of life. During Pharaonic times, the kings took great interest in the oases, leading to the preservation of monuments buried beneath the sands. Above the sands, nature's wealth abounds. On this three-day excursion (two nights), you will discover the Bahariya Oasis in Egypt's Western Desert, as well as the Black and White Deserts, springs, palm groves, and olive fields.

ITINERARY

Day 1: Cairo - Bahariya 

Transfer from Cairo to Bahariya Oasis in an air-conditioned vehicle, covering approximately 400 km (about 6 hours).

Upon arrival, enjoy a prepared lunch. Afterward, we will head to our hotel in Bahariya. After a brief rest, we will set out in a 4X4 Jeep to explore the surrounding landscapes, including the small palm forest, the lake, and the Dest and Maghrafa mountains, where the skeletons of the largest dinosaurs were discovered in the 1990s. We will pass by two hot springs and climb English Mountain, a site of significance during World War II. Enjoy a relaxing soak in the hot springs before returning to the hotel for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 2: Bahariya – White Desert 

After breakfast, we will depart with our luggage to visit the Black Desert, stopping at the tomb of the famous Swiss adventurer Roony René Michel (known as Roony), who showcased the beauty of the Egyptian deserts since the 1970s. We will stop near the Black Mountain and visit the Bedouin village of El Heiz, which features a well of fresh water. Here, we will have lunch and some time to bathe.

After enjoying mint tea, we will continue to see Crystal Mountain before heading to El Agabat, known as the New White Desert. In this stunning location, we can try sand surfing on the dunes. As night falls, we will set up our tents and prepare for a spectacular sunset, watching as the mountainous shapes transition from gold to red.

We will enjoy a barbecue dinner under the stars, accompanied by the sounds of a fire and the aroma of traditional Bedouin tea with mint. Music from the Bedouins and their argul (a traditional musical instrument) will enhance the experience. Overnight in tents, where the stars shine brighter than ever in Egypt.

Day 3: White Desert - Bahariya - Cairo 

After breakfast, we will pack our bags, take down the tents, and head towards the Old White Desert. Here, we will admire the unique natural formations, including the Mushroom, Chicken, Ice Cream, and Sphinx formations, stopping for photos along the way.

• Once your reservation is confirmed, you will receive an email with your booking voucher. Please print it or download it to your mobile phone or tablet to show to the Misrona Tours representative on the day of the activity.
• The details will include tour operator contact numbers, traveler service and travel information.

• The package price is set in US dollars, but you can pay in Euros, Egyptian Pounds or British Pounds. You can also pay with different credit cards: Visa, MasterCard...etc.
• Payment of 35% of the total amount is required to secure your seats on the tour, including hotel room, cruise cabin, local plane or train tickets and other travel-related services.
• The remaining balance can be paid up to one week before the arrival date or in cash upon arrival at the destination to the Misrona Tours representative.
• Once the tour is confirmed, we guarantee that the price will not change.

In case of cancellation of your trip after making some/all reservations, the following table of charges will apply: -

• Up to one week before the arrival date, 35% of the total price of the tour will be charged.
• Less than one week up to 48 hours before the arrival date, 50% of the total value of the tour is charged.
• Any cancellation after this time or no-show on the day of booking will not be refunded.
