Full-day tour to: The Suez Canal

The Suez Canal area is incredibly fascinating. Watching the ships and large boats navigate the channel between the Red Sea and the Mediterranean offers a unique glimpse into a bustling waterway. This tour includes visits to the city of Suez and the city of Ismailia.

ITINERARY

We will depart from your hotel in Cairo with our Misrona Tours guide, heading northeast towards the city of Ismailia. Founded in the second half of the 19th century, Ismailia served as a center for coordinating the excavation of the nearby Suez Canal.

After a brief panoramic tour of Ismailia, we will proceed to the banks of the Suez Canal. As we approach the shore, we will learn about the history of this monumental infrastructure that enables passage between the Mediterranean Sea and the Red Sea without having to navigate around the entire African continent.

Thanks to the extensive improvements currently being carried out by the government in the canal area, we will cross to the eastern bank of the canal to observe ships navigating north and south between Europe and Asia.

Next, we will enjoy a traditional Egyptian lunch at a restaurant overlooking the canal. Finally, we will make our way back to Cairo.
